You know I  love  a good stripe. I used to only really wear stripes in the warmer months, and put them into hibernation-mode for the rest of the year ha! But I feel like I have really come around on my feelings towards wearing stripes in the winter, and they’ve become a year-round staple in my closet. I love how chic a striped sweater looks with jeans, and I automatically feel more put together when I pop on a striped button up. Sharing two outfits I love and some styling ideas for how to wear stripes this winter.

I’ve pretty much lived in this navy and white striped sweater this winter. It has been one of my go-to things to wear because it’s cozy and looks great dressed up or down. I love styling it with skinny jeans and flats for a cute simple outfit, but it’s the perfect length to wear with leggings, and you can dress it down with a pair of sneakers for a walk or on a busy day running errands. I love how versatile it is, plus it happens to be on sale for under $130.

Striped shirts are one of the easiest things for me to style and I always feel like myself when I’m wearing one. A button up with skinny jeans and flats is a classic combination, but recently I’ve been a big fan of the casual button up look. I love styling them with demi boot jeans and sneakers for an easy, effortless outfit that’s also the perfect work to weekend transition look. I have my eye on this neutral striped button up – it’s such a cute basic and would look great with white jeans this spring.

Some (rambling) thoughts ? Honestly having a bit of an identity crisis or something. Like it’s been 18 months of being a mom. The pandemic. Living in the suburbs. I think I just don’t care what I wear on a daily basis but then overall I don’t like what I wear and what’s in my closet?! I can’t for the life of me find a pair of jeans that I feel REALLY good in right now. I’m in between sizes and my shape is different so I don’t know what even to wear. Feels like going through puberty all over again ?‍? I felt discombobulated at 23 for various reasons and feel similarly at 33 for different ones. Maybe I’m just tired and overthinking it all.
